Processed foods Myths

  A while ago on our Facebook page we talked about intake of processed foods now we wish to elaborate more on processed foods. We have been told to stay away from processed foods/convinence foods and take more of fresh foods, but we are not told also that, not all fresh foods are to be eaten raw. According to the Oxford dictionary, processing is to perform a series of mechanical or chemical operations on (something) in order to change or preserve it.  Meaning boiling of your foods is also a processing operation as well as drying, grinding and smoking. Convinence foods are your fresh foods that under go chemical or mechanical operations to make it safe for consumption, incorporate lost nutrients and also added nutrients not present,Increase shelf life of food and promote food security.  *Why you should Bananas more often*  Bananas are excellent sources of vitamins and minerals to our human bodies,but they either limited in our intake or taken in excess.
